Flirting and fun seem the perfect antidote for Lottie's battered heart, and where better to find them than back in tranquil Tippermere, home of sexy eventer Rory Steel, the smiling Irish eyes of hunky farrier Mick O'Neal, and mysterious newcomer, model Tom Strachan?
But when landowner Marcus James drops dead unexpectedly, and the threat of his waggish wife Amanda selling the heart of the village out from under them looms large, things look like they're about to heat up in and out of the saddle.
With tensions running high, and the champagne flowing as freely as the adrenalin, is it any wonder that love catches more than one of them unawares?

Thank you for joining us today, Zara!
What genres do you write? Most of my books to date have been hot/erotic romance, but my latest is a ‘bonkbuster’! Think Jilly Cooper and Fiona Walker, or Victoria Fox or Jackie Collins in riding boots and wellies.
How did you come to write these genres? My first published book was an erotic romance, I was offered a contract after entering a competition. I’ve always devoured ‘bonkbuster’ stories though and so when I was asked if I fancied writing one, I jumped at the chance. I absolutely loved writing Stable Mates, it’s fun, racy, with a few secrets, a bit of scandal and a lot of sexy characters!
How long have you been writing? All my life! My first submission was when I was in my teens, but it wasn’t until a couple of years ago that I seriously sat down and started to write for publication.
Who is your favorite character from one of your books? I’d hate to single one out! All my characters are special in some way or another, I think in Stable Mates if I had to name somebody it would be Elizabeth – she is just so single minded and naughty!
Do you plan your stories or do they evolve as you write? The honest answer to that is – a combination. I plan, but fully expect to go off at a tangent and have to rethink. As characters develop, situations change – just like in life!
Who are some of your favorite authors? Too many to list – I read all kinds, from Jilly Cooper to Fiona Walker, Jackie Collins, JRR Tolkien, Dick Francis, Stephen King, Helen Fielding….(how much time do you have?!)
Is there a special indulgence you allow yourself while you’re writing? Coffee!
Tell us a little about your current work in progress. I’m currently working on a follow up to Stable Mates. In Country Affairs there’s an unexpected visitor to Tippermere, Pip is torn between two men and Lottie has to make some decisions about the future! Which means that once again life in Tippermere is far from tranquil. Oh, and there’s a wedding (no funeral this time!), or two…
Thank you so much for inviting me over today!
